Paris-Roubaix | Art Print | Cycling Monuments
Our mid century inspired Paris-Roubaix art print would make an ideal gift for fans of the spring classics! It celebrates one of cycling's most prestigious one day races – nicknamed the Hell of the North or 'L'Enfer du Nord', it forms part of five major one day races in the professional cycling calendar referred to as: 'The Monuments'.
The nickname is fitting due to the punishing parcours, but it originates from assessments of the course following the devastating after effects of World War I. This is not a race for the faint-hearted, or for riders at the lighter end of the scale, who tend to struggle with the uncompromising conditions.
The design reflects the nightmarish atmosphere of post-war devastation, the unforgiving severity of the course and the dangers that await both riders and equipment.
This design also forms part of our Monuments set of five prints. Buying the set will save you 25% on individual prices, plus free UK shipping!
